'STUCK IN the middle'

Directed by Sheridan Phillip

After assuming his family cares nothing for him due to inadvertent neglect, Gerald (a middle child) runs away - only to discover his family truly loves him.

“Stuck in the Middle” is a short film that exposes how paranoia can often lead to consequences. Through the eyes of Gerald (a middle child in a family of 3 children), the audience sees how neglect (even inadvertent neglect) can completely lower a child’s self-esteem. A preconceived notion of family abandonment causes Gerald to run away from home, and the film subsequently disproves his notion. The film should take viewers on a roller coaster ride of emotions, and cause them to think about how healthy their own family atmosphere is.
